Over the last few weeks, I thought really hard about whether to keep the ihearthokkaido brand. Ultimately, I decided that in the spirit of the (still) new year and the even newer decade, I’d like to start anew.

Hence, the re-naming of this blog.

Welcome to Highlighting Hokkaido! 🙌🏽

Again, I’m dedicating this space to what life in Hokkaido is like, the nitty gritty of it all.

I’m still tweaking some of the design and layout, so there will be some changes coming. Overall, though, I’m pretty happy with what I have so far.

I might have mentioned that my favorite color is yellow, so I’m ecstatic I was able to work it into the new website. I still do miss the clean design of the old logo, though.

But, as everything else in life, change is constant.

What won’t change are my admittedly long-winded posts about places and things to do about Hokkaido. I’m still working on a tighter writing style, but I hope I’m entertaining some people with what I’ve put out already.

This blog is still all things Hokkaido–travel, lifestyle, places of interest, and of course, food!
